May 21st, 2003 "A lovely trip" - So I had this really good trip to Victoria. I will soon be the proud owner of a new pair of glasses. On Friday I went for dinner at Gladiolas, where I got my first good tomato and egg since I've been back from CHina. I got Andrew Lloyd Webbers Requiem and a new white scarf from Value Village. We spent the nite in Sooke and on Saturday we went down town. I wandered about for a bit and then met up with my friend Megan. She put on a fabulous dinner party at her house and I was impressed. She has really cool friends. The next day I reformatted my website index page and then headed off to downtown. Megan and I went for lunch at this place called the Lotus Pond, which was sooooo very, ridiculously good. I got to have fried Jiao zi. dumplings. mmmmmmm.... I missed them so much. Megan then bought me a new shirt as an early birthday gift. It has monsters from where the wild things on it. and max too. go max!

That nite I finally got together with Ryan after plans with him failed because of me three times. it was sooooo worth it though. We just sat around and talked for hours. and hours and hours.

The next day was the Victoria Day Parade, which was cool but I missed most of. Afterwards mum and I went to the Silk road tea company. WE got west coast peppermint, angelwater and hoji cha tea. ON the way back to the van I got another new shirt. It has green sleeves and a british lion on it. Very nice. Then I went home.... tired, but content

May 12th, 2003 "A Hunting Trip" - I'm on a hunting trip, trying to find a job. I hate trying to find a job. This time I'm looking for retail work. I've never really done that before. There was the time when I worked at the tempo station, but that was ages ago. I know I'm good at working with the public, so I don't think it should be too hard. I need the money if I'm ever goign to start travelling again.

May 1st, 2003 "My Brother" - So I went to my brothers wrestling awards last nite and goddamn he did well. He took home top wrestler in his grade, most improved senior, BC games participant, bc games placer, perfect attendance (which they have now named after him for being the only wrestler in 25 years to get perfect attendence in all his senior years), the Character award (when he recieved it, he got a standing ovation) and Knights of the Armada. At the end of the evening, when he made his short spech, he cried, his girlfriend cried, Leighland cried, I cried.... then he got another standing ovation.

April 30th, 2003 "heaven nowadays" - well, not really, I just have that song in my head. I've decided that I'm done with the valley. I've decided I don't really understand as much as I once thought I did. There's nothing exciting happening in my life. How do you follow up three months in China? I had a good time when I got back, but things aren't just thrilling anymore. *sigh* Maybe I need to go have an adventure...... any suggestions anyone?

March 13th, 2003 "overwhelmed" - So I'm back in Canada, and I'm so in a state of sensory overload. My ears aren't used to hearing english everywhere I go. ahhhh! I can't even think straight enough to write anything right now. Maybe I"ll go dull my brain with "How to lose a guy in 10 days"
