August 23, 2002 "The best place on earth" - My bare feet. They hurt a little bit. There were a few squishy moments
I trekked from that place on the creek that Christine took me to when we were 14 to here, the place I discovered on my own.
It's the most gorgeous place on the face of the earth. At least I've always thought so . I feel all the more connected to it
in my bare feet. I can feel the rocks and the sand. There's leaves too. They're sticking into the side of my foot.
The little black water bugs are skimming along the surface of the near still pool, creating ripples. These ripples, they distort the glimmering reflection
of the trees on the other back. The trees, they're draped in the honey coloured light of the setting sun...
August 22, 2002 "Birthday!" - This is my birthday! It was a good one. I had some friends over and
we chilled in my backyard and listened to the avalanches, did some sidewalk chalk and ate lotsa food.
Got some good gifts.... namely a discman (from my mum), a tiny little fridge with a tiny little drawer
on the inside that has tiny little magnetic poetry in it. and a tiny little light turns on when you open the door.
Jen got me some worry beads.. they're Greek and their one purpose is to be fidgeted with. I think it's a
perfect gift for me.
August 8, 2002 "An Addition" - Wow another entry two days later.... this is a record for closeness.... So I finally got around to uploading a new reveiw for your enjoyment.... It's my best of Vancouver list... and there are some new pictures on the picture page... I'll also be trying to rework the opening page to be a bit more consistent with the rest of the site.... see ya!
August 6, 2002 "A long time since...." - So it's been two month's since I did an entry here... I'm still not very good at this... but I have a feeling no-one's read this anyway, so I'm not terribly worried (however if you are reading, I would ask that you take the time to sign the guestbook).... I just got back from my first trip to Vancouver
in two month's and it was pretty good... I met up with Graham who I haven't seen in just as lng, but unfortunatley I didn't get a chance to talk to him all that much... maybe next time.... and I saw Melissa for the first time since november so that was a treat and a half....
I went to tow of the fireworks shows at English bay and they were so pretty..... For the second I went to a Fireworks/Birthday party on the 32nd floor of the Coast Plaza Suites (if Tannis, Ed or Micheal happen to be reading this you all should know which one I'm speaking of).... and I went out dancing.... I met a very cool lesbian stripper from Seattle and we went out for dinner and had a good time....
I did in fact go to the Lion King and I'll write up a review soon..... Shane is still not at home... it seems normal now.... I'd like to have more to say, but I don't right now... Cheers (esp. to you Ryan)
June 4, 2002 "The boy who isn't home" - Gah. Something tells me I just shouldn't have a site. If you look at the last update I gave, well, that says it all. I just don't have the motivation to update this bloody thing on a regular basis. So here's what's new: 1) I'm leaving for Guelph pretty soon and I get to spend a nite in Toronto. I think I'm gonna see the Lion King.
2) My git of a brother hasn't been home in three weeks.
