February 12, 2003 "back again" - So since the last update, we went
camping in Sorrento and then reunited with the Invermere team, endured an
11 hour flight and then arrived in Beijing. I've been through two host families
now, and I'm about to go onto a third. We've had ups and downs and we're
finally sort of "together" as a group and we have 19 days to go. We celebrated
Christmas (when our gifts were stolen), New Years (where the group slept in a
restaurant together to see the flag raising on New years day) and Chinese New
Year here. Chinese New Year was the best and the time leading up to it is
equateable with the feeling that comes as our Christmas approaches. I've been
to a millioon sites... here's a list...

and that's about it.... I have loads of pictures and some of them will make
there way on to this site eventually. I've also seen a tonne of small local
shops, open air markets, taken a gazillion buses and taxis and subways, eaten
in small restaurants, eaten from roadside vendors, looked at a million CD Shops,
and wandered around til my feet hurt. Haibo and I's EAD is coming up this
Friday, and maybe I'll get a chance to let you know how that goes. When I get
some time, I'll post some of my journal entries on here too!

November 15th, 2002 "Sick Duck" - So I've been very, very ill for the
past 9 days. It started with chills, which lead into feverish nitemares
(something evil was trying to kill me) and then into a whole lot of other
unpleasantness. I swear, I must've lost weight over the past few days, cause
all I'm really capable of eating is noodles. It still hurts to swallow. grar.
It was Hai Bo's birthday last monday. and Lu Lan's last wednesday. On Halloween
we dressed up (I was a christmas tree) and volunteered at an elementary school.
I played snakes and ladders :).... I think that's all right now.... oh 15 days
left in Kamloops.... 17 days left til VANCOUVER!!!!!!!!!!!!
